CRICKET BALLS & SCOREBOOKS

Clubs are reminded that the approved ball for 2011 is a READERS BALL and that teams in the Premier, first and second divisions must use this ball in ALL League games.

The Dukes ball, as used last season, will be an eligible ball for all other divisions and the two cup competitions but cannot be used in Premier, one and two.

Clubs are required to purchase a minimum of SIX balls per TEAM via the League’s Bulk Buying system since the price agreed with Readers is based on a minimum quantity order.

Orders must be submitted to Mick Oldfield by the end of February. Any club not placing an order will be automatically allocated six balls per team.

The cost to clubs is £17 per ball.

The League is willing to take surplus Dukes balls back, in quantities of half dozens, on a straight swap basis – clubs wishing to do this should negotiate direct with Mick.
