AIMS
-
To promote the game of Cricket and the quality of participation at all levels of competition, irrespective of race, age, gender or disability.
- To provide the means for clubs within the agreed geographical boundaries to participate in competitive Cricket within a Senior League structure
- To ensure that the ‘League’ is administered in an efficient manner in order to meet the needs of member clubs and their players and ensure that there is compliance with all rules and regulations
- To ensure that the League maintains its status as a ‘senior’ league within the current, and any future, league structure operating under the auspices of the Yorkshire Cricket Board
OBJECTIVES

To look after and support all member clubs in order to enable them to continue to function in an efficient and progressive manner
- To ensure that the League representative sides are managed in a professional manner and promote a sense of pride amongst players at being selected in order that competitive sides are fielded and the League’s playing standard is accurately reflected.
- To consider applications for membership from new clubs who are able to meet the criteria laid down by the League and who are able to demonstrate a commitment to the advancement of the League.
- To comply, wherever possible, with the requirements of the E.C.B., Y.C.B. and Y.C.A. with regard to the promotion and development of Cricket within the area.
- To actively encourage the development of junior cricket and ensure that all clubs regard the safety and welfare of their junior players as a high priority comply with Junior Player Regulations and Child Welfare regulations
- To maintain an efficient disciplinary procedure which is in line with the E.C.B’s ‘Code of Conduct’ by encouraging the use of self-regulation and development of internal disciplinary procedures within the member clubs.
- To create opportunities for participation by persons of any nationality, of whatever race or creed, professional or amateur, gender or age.
- To facilitate and encourage contributions in other areas such as umpiring, scoring, coaching and ground maintenance.
- To promote and encourage a high level of administration and competition by member clubs.
- To ensure that all clubs meet the League’s standards in respect of facilities, playing surface and administration
- To operate various assessment systems in order to monitor standards
