TELEPHONED RESULTS

The HOME club is required to submit the result and match details immediately after the game is completed. It is imperative that the correct telephone number allocated to the division is used as lines may be call diverted to an assistant results officer

Results should NOT be submitted earlier than 6 pm when play has taken place. However, in the event of no play being possible or a game called off at a very early stage, results should be submitted as early as possible.

Any results submitted later than 8.30pm will normally be regarded as ‘late’ and will attract both a financial and Merit Table penalty.

Clubs must ensure that the person responsible for ringing in the result is fully aware of the requirements.

PREMIER DIVISION, DIVISIONS 1, 2 & 3

Result for these divisions will be accepted by either Albert Pattison or Samantha Lyth

 

DIVISIONS 4 & 5

PHONE to          01904 492600 by 8.30pm on match day

Results for these divisions will normally be received by an Assistant Results Officer

LEAGUE RESULT SHEETS FOR ALL DIVISIONS

To arrive no later than noon on Wednesday following the game.

Late or  incomplete result sheets WILL attract both a financial and a Merit Table penalty

COMPLETION OF RESULT SHEETS

BOTH teams are required to submit Result Sheets for EVERY game within the specified time schedule – any team failing to do so will suffer both a financial penalty and a Merit Table penalty. It should be noted that sheets which are inadequately completed will be regarded as not received and penalties will be applied.

Result sheets must show the following:

  • All 11 players’ names with the captain and wicket keeper identified. Where two players appear with similar names, Christian names or other identification information is required.
  • Details of any unregistered player must be shown in the box provided on the form. (NOTE – any such player must be registered before he makes any subsequent appearances)
  • Accurate performance details for all batsmen and bowlers together with names of fielders taking catches.
  • Details of fall of wickets (Total & batsman dismissed)
  • Umpires must be named and honestly marked in accordance with marking guidelines (NOTE – BOTH teams are required to mark neutral umpires – clubs in lower divisions must not mark their own umpire but are required to show the name.
  • The away team only is required to mark the home ground (pitch & outfield) in an honest manner in accordance with issued guidelines – failure to mark will result in Merit Table penalties
  • Both teams are required to issue a mark for the opposition scorer – do not mark your own scorer
  • Indicate any unusual or special issues or performances for record purposes (NOTE – the press report is written from phoned information prior to receipt of result sheets. Callers are encouraged to give brief information re. hat-tricks, maiden centuries, junior performances etc)
