Report on Semi-Finals & Final (played Sunday 9th August) by Albert Pattison
In the first semi final at Sheriff Hutton CC, York beat Stillington, with the scores level – York having lost one fewer wicket after scoring three runs off the final ball. Hull & YPI defeated Heworth at Sheriff Hutton Bridge CC in the second semi final, and then went on to defeat York comfortably in the final. Man of the Match in the final was Paul Hodgson, who featured with both bat and ball, having earlier made 92no in the semi-final - the highest individual score to date in this new format of the Readman Trophy competition.
