Clubs are required to note the following:

  1. The club designated ‘A’ in each block of first round fixtures will host the games and will be responsible for match arrangements. Any designated club that is unable to host the games on the selected date must advise the Cup Secretary immediately so that an alternative venue can be fixed.
  2. The order, and times of games, will operate as shown on the Draw Schedule – however games may start earlier if both sides are in agreement.
  3. Clubs to supply umpires for Rounds One and Two – neutral umpires will operate in the semi-finals and final.
  4. The host club is required to advise, by e-mail to the Competition Organizer, with copy to the League Secretary and to the League Website Manager, details of the group winner within 24 hours of the matches. All clubs are required to submit full details of their games to the Competition Organizer within three days as per the League’s Cup Rules.
  5. In the event of no result being obtained within the Cup Rules, a ‘bowl-out’ will take place using the format shown in the League’s Cup Rules. Where necessary, this shall be a three-team contest to decide which team progresses to the next round.
  6. In the event of each of the three teams in a ‘round-robin’ all recording one victory, the winner shall be decided by the following method:-

    A. Total number of runs scored in two games, divided by the total number of wickets lost in two games = average
    B. Total number of runs conceded in two games, divided by total number of wickets taken in two game = average
    C. A minus B gives a net average – winner has best ‘plus’ average.

  7. The host club is required to provide refreshments for the visiting teams which need to be available between games. Visiting clubs are required to make payment for refreshments on the same footing as Saturday teas.
  8. The host clubs for Round Two will be determined once first round games are completed.
  9. The venue for the Semi-Finals and Final has yet to be determined.
  10. The changed format of the competition has necessitated some amendments to Cup Rules – clubs will be advised of these in due course.

It is important that ALL clubs fulfill their fixtures as a club failing to play their games will be required to compensate both other clubs in their group for the loss of a fixture and for the inconvenience caused.
