Course Director: Dick Whaley

Introduced in 2008, the York Lord’s Taverners Development Programme was set up in conjunction with the ECB Coaches Association (York & District) and The Indoor Cricket Centre (York) to provide extra winter coaching for those talented young club cricketers who have just missed out on being invited to attend YCB Pathways to Excellence scheme.

The course is held at the Indoor Cricket Centre at Dunnington, and runs for 9 weeks starting in January through to March. Forty youngsters are invited to attend each year. It is primarily for Under 14 and Under 15 boys, but places are also offered to a number of Under 13 boys, and girls from the Under 12 to Under 15 age groups.

The coaching programme is run on the principles of the Pathways to Excellence.

Attendance at the course is by invitation, however any club who feels they have a young player who should be considered for the course should contact Dick Whaley on 01904 704906 by the end of October.
