Report by: Norman Pearson The York Joe Lumb XI gained revenge for their only League defeat when they beat Bradford by eight wickets in the Final at Undercliffe on Sunday. Bradford batted first and were restricted by a fine accurate opening spell by Jonny Moxon, 6 overs for 7 runs and one wicket, a great one-handed catch by Ryan McKendry. Spinners Andrew Simpson, 10 overs 3wkts for 22 runs, and Ryan McKendry, 15 overs 3 wkts for 30 runs, then took charge taking wickets at regular intervals, and along with Tom Atkinson, 2 wkts for 17 runs, bowled them out for 109. When York batted Ryan McKendry recovered from being bowled by a no-ball in the first over to score a magnificent 76 not out, and assisted again by Andrew Simpson (23), saw York to an eight wicket win, in the fifteenth over. This is only the second time that York has won the Competition, the other being in 2004. Captain Chris Bilton (pictured below left) received the trophy from Martin Moxon.
